This seems to be mimicking the Sikh Students Conference [ <a href="http://www.sikhstudents.org” target=”_blank”>www.sikhstudents.org ] and the Sikh Studies Conference After 84, both of which were hosted at UC Berkeley. There, the leading scholars were professors of Sikh Studies. They seem to have influenced Jakara, and I am glad to see that. If genuine organizations and projects continue to influence these youth organizations [i.e. Jakara, The Langar Hall], then that will be for the better. I think we can all agree about that.

I am very excited about this grad conference. It is going to be very interesting to see how different researchers have used their field to provide some insight into Sikh topics. I enjoy research and believe this grad conference is unique because it is bringing various disciplines to the subject matter.
