CENSORED: Take Action to Protect Internet Freedom

As you may have noticed, today is a national day of action to protest the Stop Online Piracy Act and the PROTECT IP Act, two bills being decided on in US Congress right now.  Tons of sites, including Wikipedia, are on a 24-hour blackout to protest the bills and urge action.

Needless to say, we at The Langar Hall are deeply concerned about this threat to online freedom and encourage our readers to take action and spread the word.

There's nothing the free world can do about it. When it comes to countries without freedoms such as China, Saudi Arabia and the USA, its up to the citizens of those countries to do something. Whether its imprisoning its children up…executing its citizens or censoring information its always the same 4 or 5 rogue nations that do it : China, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iran and the USA.
If only mainstream Americans realised what its reputation is in the world…i.e the complete opposite of the 'land of the free', they'd soon put a stop to this bill.

  3. Internet freedom is good, but I hope people don't use it to force others to commit suicide. Reading mean comments on the internet really makes me sick.
