How many medals would we have won had we relied on indigenous English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish people to compete. Surely this is indicative of how we as a British nation have assimulated our foreigners into our society and how they should be appreciated. Please reply to me at mail@iain-rossmacleod.co.uk as I believe we must do all we can to promote racial harmony in the UK of GB & NI. I wondered about the racism in the uk. Jasvir Singh was a 2008 Pan American Championships gold medallist, and is a three-time Canadian champion (2006, 2007, 2008). He is a former member of the Indian weightlifting team. He immigrated to Canada in 2002. <strong>Point of interest</strong>: Sikh kids (boys and girls) in Surrey are ripping it up in weightlifting competitions. Most of these kids are coached by Makhan Singh Sandhu (Khalsa School Surrey Weightlifting Club/Lion's Weightlifting Club). In the age of the information super-highway this should not be so. I enjoin all of you to brush up you knowledge of things Indian .If I can help in any way I'll be only too glad to do so. I can volunteer to send you information about Sikh sportspersons in India to start with. I applaud your spirit ! That was a gracious response.
