“Punjabi Everywhere”

I came across this amazing video of a white guy singing a traditional Punjabi song, while playing a drum, in an outside mall area (hat tip: Satwinder). Often we wonder how Punjabi will be preserved.  I think one of the unique ways is through music.

I hope you enjoy it as you begin your weekend!

LOL. I like how the desi guy sat down, posed for a picture, and left clapping – but didn't leave a tip.

  3. Which city is this in? He did such a good job!

This is the coolest thing I've seen in 2010. The rest of the year is going to have a tough time beating this!

I am glad you are all enjoying the video! It is pretty awesome!

Balmeet Singh-His friend left a tip and then the guy sat down. :)

Empowerment Engineer- I am assuming the performance took place in a European city because 1) I see children walking around in their school uniforms and 2) I am doubtful something like this could take place in the U.S. … we are too busy making English-only policies!

Actually it's Australia, not Europe or the US.

Have you seen the cheena on youtube? He spent some of his childhood in the punjab and speaks it perfectly

The right way to preserve Punjabi is by speaking, reading and writing, listening will just then happen
