Notice how the words ‘fair and beautiful’ are somehow always paired together. Mightywhite is questioning this and it should be questioned.

I saw the posters you had for the other works, and It seems like the color palette being used is made up solely of cows milk.

As we know afghans, turks, and other invaders are very very light complected, in fact more so than the average person in Pakistan or Punjab of today.

Yet in Sundari the characters shown to be chasing her were rather brown, perhaps it’s a different grain of wheat the bad guys ate, but their variety is very similar to what Punjabi Sikhs must be eating today.

I’ve noticed in Punjab everyone is into gora, gora, gori.

However ironically for those of us that have spent ample time in the west that gets old quick or altogether overlooked, diversity and respect of your heritage is key here, and what you will notice is………

The last thing we need are Faith oriented videos telling them that they need to lighten up.

For if they can’t lighten up now, I’m sure as they come into womanhood they can find a way for their future children to look white and I doubt most of those children will ever grow up watching your videos.

The only images released on the website are loud and clear about Bhai Taru Singh ji’s wheatish complexion: the skin color of majority of punjabis. I would have appreciated if you had waited for sometime and haven’t jumped the gun from your observation based on just one image.

In all the animation vids from this studio the characters look this way, the characters are very pale.

This was brought up before with the Sundri animation.

I guess no one took note. And they dont have too.

Perhaps we should all get our skin bleached that way we more resemble the real life virtuous punjabi Sikh based characters.

If this was disney doing this, we would all be pointing out the obvious and how we need Sikhs from our community to represent.

So why not speak up when one of our own exhibits self hate.

First off, props for referencing my favorite cartoon as a child – He-Man. Well, it was a two-way tie between He-Man and Transformers, but that’s beside the point.

Are you saying Bhai Taru Singh looks too pale in the cartoon? Is there something too “white” about his features?

I thought he looked alright.

Even given that a lot of Punjabis are darker than how Bhai Taru Singh is portrayed, there’s a whole bunch who are very fair as well. Heck, I’ve got an uncle with red hair, green eyes, fair skin – you’d think he was Irish…if it wasn’t for the big turban and thick accent.
