My brother sent me the following picture. There is no article to accompanying it, but I thought that it is just cool to have a sabat surat Sikh portrayed in such a positive and “normal” light. The man in the picture is Fauja Singh, a world record holding marathon runner. This billboard appears in Vancouver, Canada.
I like these Adidas ads. They did a great set of them with Fauja Singh too. Definitely cool.

Wonderful! It is great to see a khesdari Babuji portrayed in a positive and unique light. He does not look like a male-model wearing the en-vogue turban on a billboard, just the Babuji from next-door. I personally don't know many avid runner Babujis … most of them at Mikha Singh's age of actually 72, are relaxing by reading the newspaper, playing thash (i.e. cards), or going for walks … let alone running … it's great to see him doing something different! Sometimes you hear the elderly say that they can't do many physical activities because they are too old (i.e. usually it’s a state-of-mind and not their actual physical condition) … now I can personally point to Milka Singh and say … he did it and his picture is on a billboard! I think he could serve as a source of inspiration for both the young and old!

Sundari, my mistake. The guy on the pic is Fauja Singh. Awesome just the same.

Jodha, I remember that adidas ad with him, but can't find it either.
Here is a short interview with him after he ran the marathon in Edinburgh. He really is a role model for people of all ages. Can you believe he only started taking running seriously at the age of 81?!
Adidas signed Fauja Singh a while back.
I remember a video interview type ad of him also that adidas did, can't find it online anymore…
PETA also did an ad with him.

The uneducated people have not the education and the knowledge so they are not able to make their families develop and happy. The educated people should help them in their education and make their educated.
